The author
Johannes Bouchain was born 1981 in Hamburg and grew up in the north‑western suburbs. He studied Urban Planning at the HCU (HafenCity Universität Hamburg) and spent one year of his studies in France (Tours and Corsica). Since his childhood he is fascinated by cities and began to explore them using the mass transit systems that became one of his greatest passions, too. He started to collect city maps from all over the world as an inspiration for his own imaginary maps. Apart from that he is interested in script programming and webdesign, photography, travelling, cycling and music. In fall 2003 he moved to downtown Hamburg and lives close to the central train station.
