The Bremen metro

An important issue concerning urban variations is the question what a certain city would look like if it had different means of public transportation. Christian Bode (Bremen, Germany) worked on this question in detail for the city of Bremen. The Bremen metro is a fictitious metro network. His project is based upon the corporate design of the system and the fictitious company HBU and it includes an explicit presentation of the history as well as a route planner. If Bremen had a metro, this would be the fifth full metro system in Germany (besides Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Nuremberg). To compare Christian Bode's fiction to the existing bus, tram and regional rail network, take a look at the Bremen network map.
