Costa Verde 2020
The project "Costa Verde 2020" was elaborated from April to June 2005 by five students at the Département aménagement, Université François Rabelais in Tours upon Loire (L. Arnould, J. Bouchain, E. Cornec, A.-L. Le Cabellec, C. Rongeard). Within their „Stage de groupe” (group internship) they worked out on-site a regional development concept for the local authorities association "Costa Verde", consisting of 14 municipalities with a population of 50 to 2,500 each, located at the East Coast of Corsica island. The region is rather low frequented by tourists, 30 km south of Bastia, the island's second largest city (pop. 40,000). Among the scenarios that are presented here, the local responsibles have chosen a tourism oriented synthesis.
