The first exposition of stadtkreation.de took place in the cellar of a temporarily unsused flat close to the Hamburg central station in the so called "Münzviertel" (coin quarter). It was integrated to a network of expositions, discussions and presentations in many different places in Hamburg during the Hamburg Summer of Architecture 2006.

It was organized by Arend Kölsch and Johannes Bouchain as well as Günter Westphal, head initiator of this event of art and culture in our quarter.

The title Map Mind comes from mind map. It is a play on words: creative minded people who like to draw maps but have many more details of their imaginary cities in the head than they can show with their drawings. Some of those details were presented in short text summaries.
